

Liz Bailey, Account Director
Liz Bailey joined Potomac Management Resources as Account Director in 2024 with over 20 years of operations and project management experience in both the commercial and non-profit industries. She holds an MBA from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, IN.

Liz is a skilled problem solver, experienced at identifying opportunities to improve existing processes who has a passion for working collaboratively with clients, members, and volunteers to help nonprofit associations thrive.
​
Prior to joining PMR, Liz was the Associate Director of Operations and Marketing for the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC), where she managed and supported both strategic and day-to-day tasks associated with the organization's operational and communications needs. She worked regularly with board members, committee chairs, and members, serving as the staff liaison on multiple volunteer committees. During her tenure, she was responsible for the introduction of several new programs including the development, fundraising, and implementation of CYTO Family Care Assistance, a program awarding financial assistance to help offset caregiving costs for attendees of the annual conference.

Liz’ association industry experience started in 2013 when she joined the Finseca Foundation (formerly GAMA Foundation) as the Finance and Operations Manager. While there, she led daily operations, worked on strategies and projects to increase donations, assisted with the planning and execution of the organization’s annual conference, and managed larger projects such as the design and implementation of an online donation and pledge payment platform and the introduction of an online learning library of free, downloadable research.

Liz began her career at Computer Sciences Corporation as a Management Consultant and then spent 12 years at Verizon Communications (formerly MCI) in various management roles, including Program Manager of Verizon IP-Relay, a communication product serving the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. As the Program Manager, she was responsible for product development, growth and financial performance and, under her management, Verizon IP-Relay revenue increased from $15M to $30M and product use increased by more than 100%.

Liz is an active member of her community with a long history of volunteer service which has included marketing roles in a local school that resulted in yearly increases in enrollment, team chaperone, trip coordinator, bake sale chair, social chair, high school crew team board member, Girl Scout troop cookie manager, and concessions coordinator. Currently, she serves as a leader in the Women’s Group at her local church and participates in a program to serve monthly meals to the community.

Liz resides in Arlington, VA with her husband, children, and goldendoodle, Murphy.
