We like to practice what we preach and make sure our staff stays current on the latest trends and hones the skills needed to provide the best service to our clients and their members. Here’s what we’ve been learning:
News
The PMR office was closed on Columbus Day for a staff in-service. The first part of the day was dedicated to training. We reviewed the new functionality available to staff on the back-end of the new PMR website; discussed protocols for using Google calendar to track client events, tasks, and communications; and learned the ABC’s of building a website from scratch.
Afterwards, we broke for some fun and a little pumpkin carving and cornhole in our courtyard. Check out some of the works of art done by our very creative and talented staff.
Kam Harris, PMR's Communications Coordinator, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Association for Women in Communications-DC Chapter (AWC-DC), as Communications Chair. Kam will be responsible for overseeing the chapter’s communications and social media efforts.

For the eighth year in a row, PMR has been listed on the Washington Business Journal’s list of Top Meeting and Event Planners. In the 2011/2012 edition, we are number three on the list! The rankings are calculated by the number of metropolitan Washington, DC events planned. We reported 401 local events planned, with an aggregate attendance of over 17,600. That’s a lot of name badges!
Many thanks to our clients who made this achievement possible.
PMR is pleased to welcome the Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC) to our client roster.

About 70 people joined us at our Open House in July, including members of volunteer boards of directors, vendor partners, long-time friends of company, and family members. Attendees were treated to good conversation, delicious food and drink, and headshots by Colella Photography. We enjoyed introducing our clients to one another, and they were able to share their experiences, challenges, and successes as volunteer leaders. We had so much fun that we plan to make it an annual event. We hope you will join us next summer!
